7/8th Grade Jazz Band

At the 2024 Coe Jazz Summit, Jack Henriksen on tenor sax and Anthony Liu on alto sax were recognized for outstanding solos. Going up against many 4A bands, the MPCMS band did not place in the top five.

 

The 2022 SEIBA Jazz Festival was a non-competitive format, with groups just receiving comments from judges.

The 2021 SEIBA District Jazz Festival was canceled due to COVID concerns,

At the 2018 SEIBA District Jazz Festival in Iowa City, the band won FIRST PLACE out of 10 bands.

At the 2017 SEIBA District Jazz Festival in Iowa City, the band placed third.

​

The Jazz Band placed second out of nine bands at the 2016 SEIBA Jazz Festival in Iowa City.

In 2015, they placed second out of 10 bands at the 2015 SEIBA District Jazz Festival. High School Jazz 1 finished fourth in 3A. High School Jazz 2 finished first in the Second Band class.
